Extinguish the Flaming Arrows of the Enemy (Part 1)

Satan can’t steal your Salvation, but he can make your life miserable, destroy your joy, make you wander in the wilderness and more….

Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Eph 6:16 NKJV

THERE ARE FIVE FLAMING ARROWS THAT YOU NEED TO DEFEND YOURSELF AGAINST

1. Extinguish the flaming arrow of SELF-CENTEREDNESS

    Stop focusing on yourself but focus instead on the Lord and the Kingdom of God. Be a blessing to other people.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” (Phil 2:3)

“Then (Jesus) said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.'” (Luke 9:23-24)

The word “prophet” in Hebrew means “empty pipe.” All Christians can be prophets of God and as such we should continually EMPTY ourselves and let God fill us with His presence!

2. Extinguish the flaming arrow of NEGLECT

Neglect of the Word: We need to develop a DAILY Godly habit and love for the Word of God. The enemy will do anything and everything to pull us away from the Word of God. We need to nourish ourselves with the Word. The Word will overcome the enemy!

Neglect of Prayer: We need to pray without ceasing. (1 Thess 5:17) The enemy doesn’t want you to pray for others because he knows the POWER of prayer. We need to pray aggressively (Matt 11:12). Neglect of Prayer is one of Satan’s tactics

Neglecting Church Services: If you separate yourself from the Body of Christ, you’ll cool off.

We need establish priorities and Godly discipline and habits. Spend time in the Word and in prayer every day. Spend time with God’s people in church services and share the Fire with God’s people! Be a consistent, faithful, all the way Christian!

3. Extinguish the flaming arrow of COMPROMISE (More next week)
