The Gospel in the New Testament should be fully understood, embraced, and proclaimed!
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ, for it is the power of God to
salvation for everyone who believes, for
the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16 NKJV
I THIS GOSPEL IS A CHRIST-CENTERED GOSPEL
Him (Christ) we preach” . . .Colossians 1:28 NKJV
“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to
you, which also you received and in which you stand,
by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I
preached to you — unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day
according to the Scriptures,
and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of
whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen
asleep.” I Corinthians 15:1-6 NKJV“which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and
seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places” Ephesians 1:20 NKJV
II THIS GOSPEL IS A GRACE GOSPEL
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that
not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8 NKJV“And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace
is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace;
otherwise work is no longer work.” Romans 11:6 NKJV” . . . to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24 NKJV
III THIS GOSPEL IS A FULL GOSPEL
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed” Luke 4:18 NKJV
“in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” Romans 15:19 NKJV
“But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.” Romans 15:29 NKJV
